Watchdog Service
Have you seen this good boy and questioned what the story is with the Esso dog?

“Watchdog Service” was coined by Esso, now ExxonMobil, in the 1950’s. Their use of weather tracking revolutionized the home heating industry, allowing for the automating fuel delivery that we still rely on today. This alleviated the need for homeowners to monitor their tanks and call for fills.
The lore is that one of the Esso refiners would bring his German Shepherd to work every day, which over time became the unofficial shop dog that everyone loved. Eventually Esso execs would coin him as a mascot, realizing how much people loved him and how his breed was the perfect symbol of loyalty, protection, and alertness.
